Helping You Move Well
Restoring function and eliminating pain by removing scar tissue in your body.
Adhesion increases load, cause pain, and limits flexibility.
Foot Pain
Foot Pain is very common in athletes that cover long distances and can be very debilitating when not treated properly. Our feet can easily get overloaded and in-turn develop adhesions. “Plantar Fasciitis” is often a catch-all diagnosis for pain in the bottom of the foot caused by adhesion in muscles that flex the foot and calf.
Neck Pain
Although it is extremely widespread, adhesion is often misdiagnosed. Failing to recognize the condition, physicians commonly prescribe treatments such as physical adjustments, taping, stretching, and exercise. Unless treated, muscle adhesion will lead to cervical disc injury, muscle spasms, and osteoarthritis.
Knee Pain
Knee Pain is very common and is often a compensation related to adhesion buildup in other areas of the body. Tight hamstrings or quads with knee pain are typical signs of a more progressed issue. Its the hamstrings job to move us forward through space…when they can’t perform properly because of adhesions, they off-load their duty onto the quadriceps, thus overloading the patellar/quadriceps tendon of the knee. Typically the sciatic nerve is involved somewhere along its route.
Hand Pain
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a very common diagnosis for people that work with computers. Often labeled CTS as a poor diagnosis, it is typically caused by adhesion in the flexor muscles of the forearm and/or adhesion of certain nerves in the arm to its structures they come into contact with along its route through the arm, particularly through the carpal tunnel.
Low Back Pain
80% or more of the adult population deals with low back pain. The most common cause is muscle adhesion, from a lifetime of posture and overuse. Failing to recognize the condition, physicians commonly prescribe treatments such as physical adjustments, taping, stretching, and exercise. Unless treated, muscle adhesion will lead to lumbar disc injury, muscle spasms, osteoarthritis and chronic pain.
Elbow Pain
When the muscles in the forearm are exposed to too much load, it beings to generate damage to the tendons that attach to the elbow. This damage in turn creates an inflammatory process (-itis) to clean out damaged tissue and byproducts. Tendonitis is a very common issue in athletes that have to utilize grip frequently such as golfers or tennis players.

What Patients are Saying
“I sustained a hamstring injury 10 years ago in a yoga class and then significantly strained it again within the last year. I was losing hope that it may ever be the same. I took a chance in connecting with Dr. Steffen as I had not heard of working with adhesion or scar tissue but it seemed to make sense given other treatments fell short. I have had 4 sessions so far and I have noticed a change in the mobility & flexibility of my leg. I am not looking or hoping for a quick fix, this injury has been present for 10+ years, but I do feel like this treatment can and is providing the healing that my leg has been needing for some time. Dr. Steffen is a quality human being. I trust his judgement and recommendations. Any time I see a health practitioner who is optimistic about my ability to heal is reassuring. I will continue to go to sessions and highly recommend it to anyone who has a sustained injury that physical therapy or other modalities have not worked for.”

“Dr. Steffen is a miracle worker! I have not been able to run more than a 1/2 mile without extreme calf pain and after 4 visits with Dr Steffens I have ran 1.5 miles without any pain, I could have probably ran further but still building my endurance back. I have tried three different doctors, dry needling, massage therapy, physical therapy with out any results. Before working with Dr Steffens I had given up hope of ever running again, this is changing my life and allowing to get back to doing my favorite cardio exercise. I was referred by my wife who has been experiencing neck pain after disc replacement surgery. My wife's pain level has decreased as her quality of life along with it. Worth every dime to help improve quality of life!.”
